Hi All. Just wanted to say that I experimented with going to a chinese restaurant with my husband today. I have felt terrible keeping him away from one of his favorites for 9 months now. I finally decided I could order some steamed rice and a carefully selected chicken/mushroom dish. I ordered it with no soy sauce. I don't know what kind of oil they used but everything else about dish looked "safe". I feel good so far ( it's been 3hours). I'll let you know how it goes. It would be nice to have another option and would mean that I am that much more healed.
If you have a P.F. Changs near you, they offer a nice selection of GF dishes. Tell them that you can't eat soy sauce, either. I used to love the Phillip's Lemon Chicken.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
Well, I am Okay this morning! We have great Chinese food here In nor cal. The nearest PF Chang's is about 40 miles away and the last time I ate there, I had a horrible reaction! Go figure.
That's great Leah! And I bet your husband is happy. You've been off Entocort for 2 months now right? Sounds like you are healing very well as I remember you can tolerate a little salad as well. It's nice to be able to get out and eat every now and then and not worry about a reaction. It sounds like you are on the mend!

Hi Terri. Yes, I passed the critical 8 week period. Yay! I am still testing and pushing the boundaries, so I still get reactions, but It seems to right itself quickly. Things are looking up. Now, I have to get recipes for GF and DF apple pie and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving :)
