Scabies

Post by Camie »

I have scabies. The cause is likely my MIL. My husband had contact with her hand holding etc prior to her being diagnosed with scabies or his extensive travel. Whatever the source.........I am totally disguted and totally covered with bites....everywhere. no details. How unfair is that? I just try to manage my MC and yet another thing to manage. I have done nothing but sleep in my own bed. Disgusted and totally depressed. Treated x1,

Ugh Camie! How miserable for you. I once contracted lice from my grandsons. They had buzz hair cuts and were easily able to get rid of them. My hair was relatively long and I used probably lethal doses of drugs to get rid of them. I was really creeped out! I hope you feel better soon. Deb

Dear Camie,

I'm so sorry. Scabies is uncomfortable! My sons had it when they were young. We had to treat them all over their bodies twice, a week apart, and wash everything--clothes, linens, etc. in hot water.

Love,

Camie,

Bummer. Sorry that happened. I assume you're aware that antihistamines can help to reduce the itching.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
