Acupunture for eye pain
I had my forth session today and am hopeful that I may find relief. My optometrist called me and left a message that if I wasn't willing to take the antibiotics there isn't anything more he can do for me. Just like that I'm dropped to the wayside. I am glad he is being honest but its frustrating not to be given any alternatives, although I'd be quick to criticize his lack of knowledge so I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth.
I stopped the lotemax and restasis since after months of use there was no noticeable relief. The punctual plugs are still in but I'm tempted to have them removed. The good news is there's a slight improvement in my pain since I've had Acupunture treatments. It's been an interesting experience and I look forward to my next visit.

that is great that the acupuncture is helping, be patient and give it time (ie a few more appointments) to elminate the inflammation and help the body to heal.
acupuncture is not a quick fix, but it is fantastic at treating the cause for long term wellness!

Thanks for the encouragement Gabes. I have m 5th appointment tomorrow. I've noticed some relief with the eye pain so I'm excited to go. My eyes still bother me some and I haven't tried my contacts yet, although I'm tempted. The pain seems to be migrating downward and it's concentrated in my neck and shoulders. Hopefully the trend will continue and it will fade.
I wish my insurance would consider the coverage. My $70 appointment is nothing compared to the other $130+ office visits I've been having along with the thousands of dollars for drugs that didn't work or I flat out refused

are you using any eye make up at all (shadow, liner, mascara)?
after my kerititis i couldnt use any. (ost of them have soy in them too......)
check your cleansers/moisterisers for wheat germ, oatmeal, vit e. as the skin in the eye area is quite thin you might be absorbing triggers that are reacting with your eyes.....

Thanks Gabes, I've been starting to switch out my shampoo, cleansers, etc with products that have more natural ingredients. I use almay eye shadow and cover girl powder & mascara. I couldn't find an ingredient list on the product but will look into that possibility. It's time to switch them out anyway so it'll be easier to buy something new that i know is friendly. I don't wear much make up but I suppose it doesn't take much if it contains something problematic.
I'm still looking for something to naturally highlight my hair. Too bad I couldn't spend the time outdoors like when I was a kid- sun bleached blonde was never a problem!

As my gut is quite healed, i find it is other parts of my body that react
i cant do any products that has soy in the top 10 ingredients, on any part of my body.
it is tiring and a bit frustrating that something like eye shadow could be causing us issues, IMO there is no point spending the money on treatments unless we have removed all possible triggers...
take care
