I don't really know (other than gluten) which of the above foods I have eliminated were causing me problems, but for now, I will live on chicken, fish, turkey, bison, and pork with vegetables for the foreseeable future. I also drink a vegan protein shake (SunWarrior) with Almond milk that seems to be okay and tastes pretty good. I sometimes will have gas after the shake, but taking an enzyme with the shake has helped with that.
I did the pepto bismol for about 2 weeks but I started to get C so I cut back to 2 in the morning and 2 at night, then just stopped. I think it made a real difference in getting me stabilized while waiting for the diet changes to kick in.
I don't think I ever could have believed that diet could make such a difference!

I'm still having lots of yellow bile with my stool, and often my (soft) stool is basically orange. GI says not to worry about the yellow bile and he thinks the orange stool is the combination of the brown and yellow. I have had my gallbladder removed. I know some people don't worry about color, but it still concerns me...any thoughts out there about this?
