I have been on 6mg budesonide for the last 5 weeks and reduced to 3mg today. Bowel has pretty much stayed normal - just a couple of bad days due to a lot of stress (problems at work like no staff!!) but I have had almost constant right hand side pain from the terminal ileum up the ascending colon and across to the mid point. Sometimes like now it also radiates into my back! Has anyone else experienced this? Given that I am still GF and the Norman's are pretty constantly normal I am bemused - and a little fed up of pain! I really want to get off the steroids if I can as I have been on them since last July. I am otherwise well, have lots of energy and I am very happy with the GF diet!

Right Hand Side Pain - linked with reducing budesonide?

Anne, sorry but I've not experienced any kind of pain that I can blame on the budesinide. I've been taking one capsule every other day for quite some time and expect the be on this drug for a long time. My hair has suffered, a bit thinner and a bit frizzy, but that's it.
Even on the drug I will have a flare if I diverge too far from the modified paleo diet that seems to work best for me. As long as I'm taking budesinide, no WD and that is most important.
