Darn those PPIs

Post by Lesley »

I have tried so hard to get rid of them. I stopped the Cafate and was down to one Nexium every second day with 2 Ranitidine to boost them. I seemed to be doing fine for a while but the esophagitis has come roaring back, even worse than before. I also have cramping, especially on my sides, and I am exhausted again.
BMs? Same thing. A few days without anything, while take stool softeners etc, and then a day or 2 of a whole bunch of BMs, many of them pencil thins, mucous etc.

I WISH I could break this and figure out what's causing what.

The heartburn - it's more like pain all the way down - doesn't go away. The medication issue seems to resemble the entocort one. Titrate down and it starts all over again, only it is more difficult to get it under control.

I'm sorry that you continue to have problems with things. I can relate to trying to get off a med, but I don't suffer from the several other problems you have. I wish you could find an answer so you could have some relief.
