Crap - I feel like crap!!

Post by CAMary »

I pushed on through my week and thought I was licking this head cold. Today my throat starts KILLING me and my temp at 7pm was 100.2....

Thankfully, my tutoring client cancelled today - there is no way I was up for it! While my family ate dinner, I went and had a :bath: - then spent the rest of the evening on the couch

My schedule has been running me ragged (not to worry - I have made some changes effective immediately!) and I haven't been eating right - skipping meals, snacking in the car etc...Had some D the other night - not sure if it's from all of the mucus draining down my throat, the stress or if being sick takes a toll on my gut....does this happen to anyone else when they get upper respiratory stuff?

Oh well!! Mike is going on a hunting trip next weekend - I guess it's better for me to get sick now than when he's gone!!

Where's my MC illness exemption

Absolutely no plans tomorrow (besides mountains of laundry - sounds like a good jammies day!)

Sniffle, swallow (ouch!) cough....

Morning Mary,

I do hope you are feeling better today and that respiratory infection is on its way out. I also had a very difficult time last year when I had a severe upper respiratory infection. The D flared like a blow torch.

Take care today, skip the laundry and just make a "you" day and relax in those jammies.

Love, Maggie

Hi Mary...hope the crud is short lived. Rest and get well kiddo!
The crud has hit my school...faculty and students are getting sick. Most have a severe cold that knocks them for a loop....almost flu like.

Take care today...Love, JJ

Geez Mary - bummer - hope you feel better soon.

I'm with Maggie - skip the laundry and rest and enjoy some "YOU" time!

Hi, Mary, I feel like crap, too. Yes, the post nasal drip wreaks havoc with my guts.

Anyway, I had something last night that I have had once before and I will never forget it. Food poisoning. My abdomen swelled up like a blow fish and it hurt terribly. Constant pain, not cramps. It started at about 7:45 and went on and on until about 3:30 when I said to myself, it's either 911 or I go to the bathroom and throw up. I HATE to throw up. But I did. Three different times and then I felt a little bit better except for being all sweaty and whoozy. I crawled back to bed and I still couldn't sleep. So here I am. It's a jammie day for me, too. After I take a shower. I feel like I've got road film all over my body.

YUK!!!!

I have no idea what caused it. I am going to eat chicken soup for a few days.

Love,

What's left of Sally

Dang! I hate to hear such discouraging words from out west, (where seldom is heard, a discouraging word, etc., etc.,).

I hope you two can shake whatever has ahold of you, as soon as possible. the weather's too nice this time of year to be spending it feeling bad.

I don't know about poor Mary, but I feel much better. Unfortunately, there's the weather. It's pouring here like a cow p-----g on a flat rock! And the sprinklers are on!! Isn't that a bit redundant???

Lots of love,

Sally, back together again

I'm feeling better as well - fever is gone and sore throat is much better - still hurts some, but it's tolerable!! I think fluctuations in weather always do it - we were chilly/rainy - today it is 91  Plus I'm around different kids all of the time (besides my own!) and I'm convinced they are germ factories!!!

Nothing worse than that "hit by a bus" feeling....I feel for you Sal - food poisoning is the worst!! I hate throwing up too, but you feel much better when all is said and done....

health and well-being vibes for EVERYONE - all of us MCers deserve to feel GOOD!!!!

Love,

Mary

Mary, and Sally,
You guys all better now? Hope so. I'm with you Mary, I think MC people should get an exemption from other illnesses.
Melissa :)
