Doug
i am one that was using wholistic therapy way before MC Dx and definately after MC Dx.

(before MC Dx i didnt have a family doctor i only ever went to my acupuncturist)
My acupuncturist did mainly Japanese based Techniques, but also used some chinese acupuncture.

One thing that my practitioner and I learnt is that the 'stock standard' type treatments for IBD's like Crohns and UC DID NOT WORK so well for MC.
MC seems to have its own unique language per say. Make sure you explain this to the MD as they may need to tweak how they approach some things.

What did work was treatments that focussed on; reducing inflammation, supporting the digestion and liver due to leaky gut issues, balancing the adrenals, balancing the immune system (not trying to over stimulate it, moreso to calm it).

Chinese herbs can be quite potent, if you do consider using any herbal treatments/tea, highly recommend that you start out on 1/8th dosage and gradually increase it over a few weeks.....you may have D at first, but stay at low dosage and see if your body will tolerate it.

also- dont do blends with too many ingredients, if you try it one ingredient at a time then you can know 100% if it is working for you or causing issues.

there is no quick fix..... take it slow, be patient and you can get good results
