Hi everybody,
This is so embarassing, but I have a question.
I am stressed because the new schoolyear has started (I'm a teacher) and I feel really nervous about meeting my new students.
Yesterday wasn't a good day for me. I had D, quite severely. This didn't cause me to worry but the colour did! It was really yellow.
Is this colour normal? Should I be concerned?
Thx
Julie

It doesn't matter how many times you fall, but how many times you get up en go for it again. HOPE !!!!
Hi Julie,
Yellow stool can be the result of gallbladder dysfunction (resulting in insufficient bile availability). It can also be caused by an infection with giardia lamblia.
In your case though, I'm guessing that it's due to your anxiety. Yellow stool generally means that food is passing through your digestive tract too quickly. The yellow color comes from the combination of bilirubin (which is produced by the liver) and fat. If the digestive process is incomplete, then the combination of bilirubin and fat can result in a yellow or yellowish-green color.
Anxiety and stress can cause poor digestion and rapid transit through the digestive system, which means that the result can be yellow stool.
Don't worry about it — it just means that you're anxious. Worrying can only make it worse.
Your new students are nervous about meeting you, too, so they may be having the same symptoms. If you just relax, and be yourself, you will find that everything will tend to go more smoothly, and your work will be much more enjoyable.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
