On my Enterolab test for the 11 Antigentic Food Stool Panel, I have a mean value of 6. None of the foods showed any significant immunological reactivity except rice which is 3+.
I have read the test interpretation of this several times and it is confusing to me. On the one hand it says that because my mean value is 6, it "indicates that overall there was no significant detectable evidence of immunological reactivity to these antigenic foods in terms of fecal IgA production". On the other hand rice is in the 3+ column, and from what I read on this board I should avoid all items that score 3+.
So, I guess I don't understand if I am reacting for rice or not. I will avoid it, but to be honest, I don't understand why. I feel so silly because I've read and re-read the test and I just can't make sense of it.
Thanks to anyone who can offer some help or point me to a thread where the test interpretation is explained more.

The overall score trumps anything in the individual categories. With an overall score of only 6, IMO you can safely eat rice. The advice to avoid any 3+ foods only applies when there is a positive result for the overall test (IOW, when the overall score is 10 or above).
