I'm traveling to Boston, MA
I'm traveling to Boston, MA for a conference November 2-6. I'll be staying near the new convention center. Any recommendations for restaurants? Any Potty People want to get together for lunch or dinner Monday or Tuesday, or lunch Wednesday?

Hi Zizzle, If you can eat seafood a good resturant is "Legal Seafoods". They have a good g-f menu. I have eaten there many times without any problems. I have eaten at the "Capital Grill" and they had no problem providing me with a g-f meal. It is on Newbury Street, but check out their prices online first. Jon
Ziggle,
Darn, I would love to meet you, but impossible that week. We were in Boston a couple of weeks ago and ate at Joe's American Grill on Newbury St. (wonderful part of Boston). They can prepare anything on the menu GF and their food is good.

Hi everyone!
I'm back from Boston and had a fairly easy time finding safe foods (for dinner at least).
I ate at these fabulous restaurants, all with GF menus except LTK:
1. Legal Harborside - grilled scallops, brussel sprouts and salad (even cheated and tried their homemade GF rolls. I so wanted their GF fish and chips!!)
2. City Landing - Skirt steak with GF sweet potato fries and sauteed veggies
3. Legal Test Kitchen - Baked Boston scrod (no crumbs) with brussel sprouts and mixed veggies
4. The Franklin Cafe, Southie location - fresh smoked salmon with beets, sauteed veggies, and a salad
Lunch and breakfast were another story. I was stuck in the Convention Center or hotels most of the time, so I basically ate no breakfast except for dried fruit I bought, or steak leftovers one morning. One lunch was a steak salad, another was a fruit cup, and I finally caved and had a GF sandwich from an italian deli. They had good quality meats and individually wrapped Udi's buns, so it was gluten safe. No reaction to bread overall, so I think I've added it back in (in moderation). My last meal was at "No Name Restaurant" on the fishing pier - a typical New England fried seafood place. I wanted lobster, so I had a plain romaine salad with lobster meat on top, vinegar and olive oil. Not bad and I got my lobster fix. Made the mistake of ordering an unsweetened iced tea...obviously the powdered variety...I thought my throat was going to close. Weird!
Good eating overall in Boston!
