Gluten Summit Dr. Keech
Did anyone see Dr. Keech's Gluten Summit presentation on colostrum? He said you can reset your immune system by using it! He said it works 90% of the time. (He also owns a colustrum mfg. plant.) All I can think is if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.............

I came close to skipping that one, when I saw the topic, but I finally decided to record it anyway. I haven't had a chance to view it yet. I may have a tough time getting through it, since infomercials tend to turn me off.

I no longer believe in magic cures, take this and all your troubles will be over. There is no magic bullet.JLH wrote:Did anyone see Dr. Keech's Gluten Summit presentation on colostrum? Hi, I use colostrum every day before breakfast. They make a liquid that is casein free. I buy it from "Synertek". I have no negative reaction. I use it because of the IGF-1, that is a growth hormone produced by the liver to help healing. It is use by many people in sports to maintain a anabolic state. There is allot of research available about colostrum online. Jon
Where is the good stuff? I used Google Scholar.......
I found this and there is more on that site but I need to listen to some other presenters.

I took the time to listen to about two-thirds of that presentation. It appears to be little more than an unapologetic infomercial for the guy's colostrum business.
I'm not saying that colostrum doesn't have benefits — it definitely does, if you are a newborn baby with a brand new undeveloped immune system. For anyone past that stage, resetting the immune is not quite that simple.
I was a bit put off by the half-truths that he occasionally injected into his presentation whenever he tried to explain scientific issues. For example, in order to justify his claim that it was not only safe for humans (even those who are sensitive to casein) to use bovine colostrum, but that it would also be effective for them, he claimed that the peptides in bovine colostrum are identical with the peptides in the colostrum of any other mammalian species. Really? I find that very hard to swallow.
The odds of that happening would be about as likely as me winning the lottery every week of the year (which ain't very likely, since I don't plan to buy any lottery tickets). It's certainly possible that a single peptide or two might be very similar (that's common), and it's not impossible that one or more might even be identical (which is about as likely as my previous example), but to infer that they are all identical, requires an incredible stretch of the imagination.
That less-than-candid approach leads me to believe that he's full of it.

How much do you take? I did go to the website and I saw powder and lozenges but no liquid. How did you order the liquid?
Thanks,
Kim
