Hi,

Welcome to the discussion board. Your doctor should never have prescribed budenofalk while you were already taking prednosolone. Taking 2 corticosteroids at the same time can result in an overdose or other complications. It's difficult to say if your symptoms are due to an overdose, or whether they might be withdrawal symptoms, because those are not normal side effects of budesonide withdrawal. It is possible that the budenofalk might be causing those symptoms, but it's also very possible that you might be having an adverse reaction to another medication, or an inappropriate combination of medications.

I would assume that you are also on an immune-system suppressant because of the kidney transplant, and you may even be taking other medications. Sometimes drugs are incompatible, and they cause adverse interaction symptoms.

Since the corticosteroids also suppress the immune system, it's possible that your symptoms might be due to an infection. Have you spoken with your doctor about your BP and heart rate, and the way you feel? If not, I would suggest that you do so immediately, because those are serious symptoms, and they might or might not need immediate attention, depending on other factors. For example, if you have developed an infection, it would need immediate attention.

You don't seem to be having an anaphylactic (life-threatening) reaction, because your BP would be low if that were the case, but it's still possible that you might be having some type of allergic reaction to one or more of the drugs that you are taking, and it's generally not a good policy to allow those symptoms to continue unless your doctor has carefully considered your situation and has decided that no intervention is needed.

Please consult with your doctor, if you have not already done so, so that he or she is aware of your symptoms. And please keep us informed on your condition.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hiya everyone, I'm a new member from the UK.
I'm so happy to have found this forum and some kindred spirits.
After fourteen years of only ever achieving remission with steroids, once again I'm stepping off the merry go round and tapering down to 3mgs. (Budenofalk)
And of course I'm back to square one,
