Good news at the eye doctor
My right eye was damaged years ago from repeated herpes infection as a child (gluten related?) leaving my right eye far sighted and with limited sight. I was told this virus travels along the nerve that leads to the eye.
My left eye is my stronger eye, but was becoming increasingly near sighted. Each year, my eyesight and prescription worsened. It worried me. For two years, I went to an eye specialist who couldn't give me a reason for my deteriorating eyesight. Neither could my regular eye doctor.
Two years ago, I changed my diet. Since that time, my vision has remained stable. I asked my eye doctor last month if she felt there was connection. She has been impressed with the stabilization of my vision and agrees that changing my diet made the difference.
I knew that my sensitivities affected my entire body, but this was good news I wanted to share.

Kathy,
That's very encouraging news, and potentially very useful information for many others.
Thanks for sharing your experience and your insight.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
The last trip I made to the eye doctor I was told my blurry vision was caused by Lyrica and different glasses would not help. I am thankful to be off that med, hopefully my fibromyalgia will stay under control by diet.

OMGoodness... That may explain the improvement in my eyesight. I was also surprised at my recent appointment when told my eyesight had improved. All the more reason to stick to my elimination diet.
So wonderful the added bonuses I am experiencing in my MC Journey.

I am thankful for my struggle because without it I wouldn't have stumbled across my strength.
What are you willing to let go of so you can live the life you know you deserve?
