Corn Allergy?

Post by MarthaE »

Thought this was interesting. I have always thought that I have a corn allergy and had no idea it's in so many things. This site might be posted already but thought I'd share http://www.livecornfree.com/2010/04/ing ... at-to.html

Yikes!! I'm trying to eliminate corn, but it will simply be impossible!! I'm trying to increase my intake of Vitamin C, and my cal-mag supplement is Citrate form! Dextrose?! Zylitol? Zantham Gum? What the heck?? Question is, if you have a corn sensitivity (not an allergy), can you keep some of these highly processed forms of corn in??

That is a good question Zizzle. I know I can't tolerate Xanthum Gum either so that explains that for me anyways!

Ladies What to do????

Post by MarthaE »

I feel like I'm allergic to everything. I believe the root of my problems is my birth control pill, been on it for almost 17 years and wish that I'd never started taking it to begin with. I'm very angry for trusting the doctors that taking the pill would be good for my bone density. I think taking them got me a diseased gallbladder and possibly the CC Now, I just want off of them but don't think I will ever have a cycle on my own and fear the night sweats acne, more mood swings etc. I'm sleeping so terribly now and am a hot MESS….Sorry for TMI. I know the little colored pills are a problem for my system. Wish I knew what the right thing was to do and had someone to talk to about it.

Wow.. That's an eye opener. Can't believe how many allergens are hidden in products and called something totally different. Gotta be Sherlock nowadays to find all the hidden allergens in all the items we use in our lives. I plan on making a file in my phone to keep track of all this stuff so I can keep it available when I am shopping. Thanks for the link.

I was amazed at how many items I used to eat daily contained soy.
Since going sf my hot flashes have returned, not as bad as before but definitely back.
