Calamity - I would call your surgeon's office and ask his preference. Some doctor's want their patients to wait until after surgery or in this case, he may not recommend one this year.

My surgeon wanted me to not take anything other than the medication he was aware of when he scheduled me for surgery. I wasn't allowed to take OTC meds or herbs.

Glad your taking a proactive role in preparing for surgery. You will be so glad when it is over and you are able to spend some time relaxing and doing things you enjoy without going to work. That time off will be well spent doing some reading and :knitting: and spending time with the puppydogs.

Good luck w/the flu shot dilema.

I think you may be right....I had pretty well decided to not get the shot as he is only aware of the meds I told him about. I don't want to mess up the surgery Date. I am scared about the pain involved but I had arthoscopic surgery on the knee and other surgeries I should be able to handle this one...I expect pain. Love Oma

Hi Oma!

I agree with Mars. It's best to run it by your surgeon. Time is getting close, but it sounds like you are doing everything you can to be ready. Hope you're enjoying the weekend.

Love,

Polly
