update
Hi All. For those of you who have been nice enough to wonder about my cancer treatment, I just want to let you know that about a week after I was done with the radiation, my gut returned to "normal". No doubt in my mind that the radiation was a bit too much added stress to keep things balanced.
On Thursday I begin taking Tamoxifen. I can only hope that the side effects don't hit me too badly.
Other then that, I'm feeling well. No fatigue….plus, I just bought my first brand new car ( VW Jetta) and I'm loving it!
Thanks for your concern and well wishes

that is great news that your gut is 'back to normal' persay. Shows how much good healing you have done.
Enjoy the car. Do you name your cars?

Leah,
Great! Thanks for the update.
And enjoy the new wheels — there's nothing like the smell of a new car.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Excellent news, Leah! And what's with the car-naming thing? The only person I know who has named a car is my daughter, who (after the fifth child was born) resorted to driving a 12 passenger van --- affectionately known as Big Buford……
Loved my Jetta when I had one -- sold it back to our son when he returned from Afghanistan; he sold it his former girlfriend, who I'm sure has either wrecked or trashed it by now…… grrrrrrrr…….. Enjoy yours, Leah!

Thanks for the update, Leah. Good to hear you're back to normal gut-wise and the treatments are going well.
Congrats on your new car! My mom named every car "Nelly" but my sister used to call hers Black Beauty.
Jettas are nice cars!
