Geneology findings

Post by nerdhume »

I was just beginning to get things together and work on my family tree. My father died when I was 9 and after that I lost all contact with that side of my family.
Today I was researching and looked at his death certificate again.
Cause of death 'Congestive Heart Failure' due to 'Polyarteritis nodosa'.
Apparently this is an autoimmune disease in which the body attacks the vessels. I remember he had RA and took cortisone injections and pills. My mom always thought those drugs led to his heart attack. After all I have read it sounds like multiple autoimmune problems. This may be where I got the genes.

quite a bit of info/indicators can come from our ancestors;
IMO it is a key element of the 'root causes'

When first Dx'd i based my eating plan on what my ancestors ate, slow cooked meat on the bone cooked with the vegetables, using the vegetables they consumed (irish farmer background)

in the past couple of years, via family history research and recent discussions with family, i learnt that both grandmothers (paternal and maternal) could not tolerate dairy, and other interesting information about health issues.
I have also researched all the chemicals/toxins the grandparents etc had contact with (during world war I, and farming in the 1930's, 40's, 50's) and the chemicals my parents had contact with when growing up on their farms, all of which would have had an impact and would have been passed down via the genes, all part of my mission to understand the issues with my DNA/cells and make corrections

My current doctor, answering questions along these lines is part of their patient intake form!
