Why should I worry

Post by annie oakley »

Well....I found out what the approx. cost of one knee replacement will be. Approx 44,000.00. And since my real insurance doesn't take effect til April....I will be paying forever. Someone called today from the Hospital finacial office and asked if I knew about thier financial help???? No I say..I feel like you are going to tell me. He did...said he would have to figure some numbers and call me back with a payment plan. Can you guess what the payment might be? I haven't a clue and am scared to death to even try and guess. I was just begining to feel like ok, what the heck, lets just do it and we'll take care of it one way or another......Now I don't know how. Scared me. I need to win the lottery...all I want is enough to pay for all this. I thought about not doing it.....but I have no choice  My poor husband is stuck with all these bills as well after it's done. Not fair to him I think. I think I will go have that tea (peppermint I think) and try to relax. lOve Oma

Awe Oma, It will work out. I'll be thinking about you and praying and hoping that things won't be so hard for you. You need to concentrate on the surgery and recovery - everything else will fall into place.

Lots of :pulsinghearts: :pulsinghearts:

Oma,

Hope these numbers help. The hospital bill from my first surgery was a little less than 30,500. The anethesiologist bill was 1,000. The surgeon's bill was around 3,000. I'm not sure how large a market San Angelo is but Amarillo is around 180 k for the city proper.

Take care,

Brenda
