Pins and needles

Post by Greengoddess »

AFree my latest accidental ingestion of gluten, not only did all the symptoms come back for a while but so did some pins and needles in my feet. It isn't possible, is it, that these 'new' ones could be from gluten? Some of my old energy has come back though. Good news.

Yes, gluten sensitivity can cause peripheral neuropathy, similar to the peripheral neuropathy experienced by some diabetics. Be sure that you are getting plenty of vitamin B-12, otherwise it's possible for some of the neurological damage to become permanent. Several other members here have had similar problems, including me.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

the inflammation also depletes key nutrients like Magnesium, Vit C, Zinc,
the shortage of these nutrients affects central nervous system/nerve endings etc.

Magnesium spray on the affected area will help alot.
