Thanks all-- Tex you are very perceptive. I am still dealing with the 'stuff' that has to be done when moving-- like getting the dog a new vet, getting me a new driver's license, and notifying all the various utilities and credit cards companies that need to know where we are.
Moving really took a few months to accomplish. We needed to down size so we sold our big dining room set, an overstuffed sectional, another set of table and chairs in the family room, an office desk, a 1988 S15 pickup that my husband bought new right out of grad school, and left all the appliances and the washer and dryer with the house. We sold our house ourselves in 18 days but I was showing it daily often twice a day. All of this while finishing the school year and applying for retirement, and house hunting in KC. Whew! glad that is all behind me now.
I hope to be on here more and I greatly appreciate the birthday wishes! Thank you all.
