Hi
I have mc now for 3 months.
I am currently on entocort.
It Works for Me 60%.
Diarea is gone. Stools better formed and less pain.
2bms a dat now.
My worst symptom i am having is the incomplete evacuation feeling.
It's ennoying and makes Me crazy!!can someone relate?
Is It normal To feel the fake urge.
It's like the poop is waiting in the last part.
It's the worst after taking a meal.
Why doesnt the entocort fix This?
Is It bcos entocort only Works in ileum and First colon part?
My last part had also inflammation and This sends the urge??
Can i do something Else?
I am gluten and dairy Free now for 6 Days.
symptoms normal for MC?

That's called rectal tenesmus, and it's very common for many of us when MC is active.
Entocort does not stop inflammation from being generated in the intestines, it only suppresses the immune system reaction to reduce the inflammation. The tenesmus may be due to a nerve response associated with digestive issues caused by active MC, rather than an inflammation-associated response. But as you suggest, it's also likely that by the time the stool reaches the rectum there is no budesonide left to absorb. But that's strictly a guess, because there is no published research that has explored this phenomenon.kenvh wrote:Why doesnt the entocort fix This?
Avoiding our food sensitivities is what it takes to stop the inflammation completely, but it takes much longer than 6 days for that to happen. The damage caused by gluten is very slow to heal. If you are taking Entocort, then you should begin to see some improvement in less than 2 weeks. There is no way to predict the exact time, because it takes different amounts of time for all of us. It usually takes about 6 months or more for the gut to begin to actually heal, and without the Entocort, that's approximately how long it takes most of us to see significant improvement. With the Entocort though, we feel better long before the gut begins to heal (usually within a couple of weeks).kenvh wrote:I am gluten and dairy Free now for 6 Days.
At this point there's not much else to do, but to stick with the diet changes to allow time for the gut to begin to heal. If you don't feel better after 3 or 4 weeks, you may need to also avoid soy, or eggs, or both.kenvh wrote:Can i do something Else?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I can relate...but I also did not do the medication route. I really wanted to, but my Dr. wanted me to give the diet elimination a chance and after reading a lot of comments about how others were able to reach a steady healing point without medication I decided that was probably best for me too.
I have classic MC dx with LC in 2012 so I have had those 'urges' numerous times. I have been Gluten, Dairy Soy and Egg free now for close to 3 months. In the early weeks I so wanted to feel better quickly, but it doesn't happen that way unfortunately with this syndrome. Your 6 days is a tiny drop in the bucket of time and you will need to relax, accept and give your body time to heal period. That was the hardest advice for me too. Also I achieved a quicker healing response from my body by going GF, DF, SF and EggF all at once, was it easy, no, but my body handled it for the most part, it was my brain that gave me fits along the way. I have a few other foods that my body is not able to tolerate and I avoid those too, I ended up sending a stool kit to Enterolab (in Texas) and drilled my sensitivities down, I wanted to know what I absolutely had to stay away from so I could heal, period.
Eat lots of Safe Meat (turkey) that was more good advice! I talk a lot about my trials and tribulations in a post in the "Sticky" column on the main Message Board called (need input I'm not going to get from my Dr.) lots of help in that post for many people with MC, you may even find something in there that rings for you too.
I wish you the best and I hope you start to feel better soon. Talking about our MC can be very healing in itself
Cheers

I remember walking my dog in the woods and having that feeling you've described. I would think to myself....if I have to go, at least I go in the woods...but I hated the feeling!!
It just takes time to heal. I didn't use pharmaceuticals to heal my MC, only diet. It can be done. I did Enterolab testing, and quickly eliminated the foods I was reacting to. Slowly I got my life back.
Be patient with the process, and stick to your diet. It will happen for you, too.
Best wishes!!!

Are you taking Vit D3?
Vit D3 and Magnesium are essential type supplements for IBD patients
Magnesium is also needed for muscle contraction to help pass the poop.
Alot of us use magnesium lotion/spray to avoid diarrhea issues.
Stick to the bland, low inflammation eating plan and give the body time to heal.
