I have hormonal migraines, and feverfew was recommended. Typically, they last 2.5 days/month, with 1 day awful and incapacitating, and the other 1.5 day, milder. Has anyone used feverfew, and what are your results? D is listed as a side effect, and the other thing I've read is that it can upset your cycle, and cause your period to come earlier, which is the last thing I want (more frequent migraines).

Hi! I use a supplement called MigraFew - one tiny pill per day. I have used feverfew in one form or another for years as a preventative for migraines. For me, it cuts the frequency and severity by 1/2. I used magnesium malate, 1,000 mg per day, successfully for a while, also. I am currently using Vitamin B2, 400mg daily, which brought the frequency down even more so that I have only 1-2 painful migraines per month (down from 10-15 in the past) & the severity of pain is low enough that I can get away with painkillers maybe once per month.
Spearmint oil on my temples & the back of my head help to melt away pain during an attack.
I have other symptoms, mainly cognitive, which these remedies do not help (or maybe they do, and it could be worse!), but for pain, I highly recommend them!

Water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink.
