Lip Balm too?
I'm also looking for a good lip balm that is gluten and soy free. I've tried Hugo Naturals and Red Apple products and nothing compares to my Burt's Bees (but it has soy in it). I live in Colorado so I need something very moisturizing.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Jari, I use Badger unscented lip balm, really like it and think it fits the bill for you. You can get it at Vitacost. They also have one with sunscreen in it, but I get complained at every time I use it because it leaves white lips.
Hope this will be helpful to you, took me forever with lots of emails, etc. to settle on it.

Hi Jari,

This is working for me really well, no soy....I found it at Walmart of all places. It lasts a long time and my lips don't flake or peel from it. I put it on before bed too.

For me, now that I know beef is a 2+ on my enterolab results....does that mean I can't / shouldn't use my beloved tallow lip balm?? I was going to make bacon grease soap from all my bacon drippings too, but I got a 2+ for pork as well. Are we that sensitive??

Re: Lip Balm too?
There's a good chance that after you've been in remission long enough, and you've healed well, you may be able to use products like that. If I were still recovering, though I wouldn't use it now, because our lips are part of our digestive system, and they're very absorbent. Whether it bothers you now, will depend on how sensitive your immune system is at the moment, because it can easily become hypersensitive during MC reactions. Also, sometimes we lick our lips before we even realize that what we're doing may cause problems

Re: Lip Balm too?
Looks like i'll have to learn how to make my own then! Just ordered some mutton tallow on etsy. Tallow seems to be so effective at actually deeply moisturizing my chronically dry lips. Apparently tallow "is Latin for sebum due to the fact that tallow is nearly identical to the sebum our own skin secretes". Vegetable oil-based products seem to just sit on top of my lips. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
