Oh happy day! Now I'm nervous......

Post by DebE13 »

After over two weeks of waiting to hear back from my endo he agreed to let me try a dose of liothyronine (cytomel)in the morning AND afternoon. Actually, he still is not in favor of it but the second opinion I got must have helped. I must have reached that annoying point where he just wants me to get out of his hair. My numbers are exactly where he wants them to be so I pray they don't change too drastically. I'm hoping this will help in my attempt to pick my butt off the ground. I am terified that I won't notice a thing.

Even if it fails to make a noticeable change I will at least know I tried it as an option.

My sleep study consult is scheduled for the end of September. The more I pay attention to my night habits the more I see my sleep is far from ok.

Next is to look into the B12 and neuropathy issues that are getting worse. It will be interesting to see the iron panel since I've been taking Proferrin for almost 3 months now. The crazy vertigo has gone- so weird.

All I can say today is Yay me! It's crazy I had to wait this long and put so much time, money, and energy into it but that is behind me now.

Insert happy dance here: :bear:

Yey for trying new things!

I'm really curious about your iron as well. Since Proferrin is so expensive, I always feel a bit anxious recommending it. It usually works though!

Glad to hear the vertigo is gone. That one can be scary.

My husband recently had a sleep study and at first I scoffed a bit because there's no way you get a normal sleep in the weird room hooked up to machines. However, they did find that he has a sleep disturbance disorder. I was skeptical at first, but the treatment has really helped his fatigue. I hope there's something similar going on for you!
