My Two Year Anniversary
Hello, everyone. Today is the two year anniversary of my diagnosis. Anniversaries are typically something to be celebrated, this one I'm not so sure. Although I must say that I was relieved when my G.I. said LC because I thought I had cancer. Of course I had no idea what LC was and when he said 8 weeks of Pepto Bismol I thought it would be easy. Needless to say, it's been quite a learning experience for me. Thanks to this forum, Tex's book and EnteroLab testing I feel pretty good most days and I have gotten my life back. It's a different life, but it's my life now and I make the best of it. Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement. I am still learning by reading posts on here and I am forever grateful for your wisdom and advice. It's now the norm for me to take my own food to holiday gatherings, wedding receptions, etc. Have food, will travel. Life is good!

Well I have to say congratulations, Marcia, for getting your new life back! Time is a great healer, but you can take pride in being your own health advocate and finding your success. Take care!

Thank you for sharing your experiences, Martha. It's always nice to hear the success stories here. I'm like you in that I prepare and bring my own foods wherever I go. I feel too good, and remember too well what it was like before going into remission.
Stay well!

Thanks, everyone. I wanted to share because I remember how lonely, tired and helpless I felt when this began. Although they might not be able to see it now, there is hope for anyone who is just starting on this journey. My advice to anyone new is hang in there, visit this forum often and hopefully before too long you'll be writing about your success in dealing with this disease. Have a great day!
