Cooked Apple

Post by terre »

I eat a banana a day, but would love to have an apple. I have not eaten a raw apple and have peeled and grated one to put in the muffin recipe.

For those who cook apples, how do you prepare?

Thanks,
Terre

I love to peel and thinly slice the apples (anything except red delicious and ALWAYS organic with apples!) then I toss this in a little EVOoil or Coconut oil, I also add cinnamon and bake at 350 for 20 minutes or so (until they reach your desired firmness and this will also depend on the type of apples you chose). Nearing the end of baking I add frozen or fresh organic cherries or cranberries sweetened with apple juice. This is one of my staple "desserts"!

That sounds like a good recipe. Some members here simply microwave apples, but I've never tried that myself.

Terre, I haven't done it for a while so I don't remember how long I cooked it, but I peeled & sliced an apple and sprinkled it with cinnamon and put it in the microwave. Just play around with the time...I'd start out at a minute and go from there. I did it at work one day and everyone was raving about the smell.

I cut it into slices, sprinkle cinnamon and put it in the toaster oven for 30 mins.
