I made bone broth from beef bones and I decided I would have it for lunch and dinner. I add a protein...so far chicken or turkey, chopped broccoli and GF noodles. The broth I've made prior to this has consisted of cornish hens, chicken and venison.
Well, yesterday, I developed stomach pain (kind of like a heavy spot in my stomach) and this morning I have a stomach ache (and slight burning in throat). I was careful to freeze the broth after cooking to reduce histamine. Could it be that the beef is fatter than the other broths I have made and is causing the stomach pains? I strained the broth and skimmed the fat off the top as best I could. Maybe I just can't have it this often?
Then again, I am taking Cholestyramine (began Tues. with 4 grams, Wed. & Thursday 2 grams) and don't know if that could be the cause. Or could it be a little of both. That's the problem with trying more than one thing at once.
I KNOW things could be much worse, but it really gets tiring when you feel like you're putting in the effort, but not seeing results. Okay, no pity parties!
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

maybe you can't tolerate beef. I can tolerate beef just fine, now, but back when I was recovering it gave me a bellyache, some gas and bloating, and upper back pains, followed by a headache the next day.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

it might have been a bit too much too soon - as you had it for lunch and dinner
it is natural to react to a new ingredient. Which is why we recommend that people start with small servings for 3 days.
I am assuming that you have had the broccoli and GF noodles before? and had no issues.
wait a few days and start with small servings.
