Pacific Organic Turkey Bone Broth

Post by Marcia K »

On my last order with Vitacost I decided to try the Pacific Organic Turkey Bone Broth. I know that it's best to make our own but I wanted to have some on hand in case of an "emergency." Yesterday for the first time in almost two years I had two episodes of explosive D. It was no surprise to me, work has been very stressful for several months and last week was the kicker. To top it off I was getting my son ready to leave the country for spring break and I guess that was affecting me more than I thought. Foolishly I ate too many chips made with sunflower oil so I was an accident waiting to happen. All I've eaten since yesterday is ground turkey breast and sweet potato. This morning I mixed some of the bone broth in it. I can hear Gabe's advice to people in a flare "make a savory stew with bone broth." So far, so good and hopefully the D is over. I took two Pepto Bismol tablets yesterday and that seemed to keep it at bay. The bone broth was expensive but I will definitely keep it on hand. I've also come to the crossroad in asking if my job is worth the affect that it's having on my health. I think I know the answer to that, it's just a matter of making the move. Happy Sunday everyone!

I've used the Pacific organic chicken broth a lot. It's easy to have in a pinch. I flavor my rice with it. I've never had a problem with it.

Pacific Organic Chicken Bone Broth

Post by drdebc »

I purchased this in a 6 pack at Costco. While it cost a little more than Kirkland Gluten-free Organic Chicken Stock which I also use, its protein advantage is huge. I do not like the taste but I have discovered if I doctor it up with rice or vegetables, it tastes better. I cook everything from scratch and I use Pacific Organic Chicken Bone Broth in recipes on a regular basis.

I lost my 18 year old Bombay cat earlier this month. She was on liquid oral syringe administered meds (2xdaily) for her liver and for congestive heart failure, the last 2 years of her life. During her last 6 weeks, she would not eat anything. I force fed her lukewarm Pacific Organic Bone Broth (via a syringe) every day. I think that extended her life. Her passing was peaceful.

I haven't seen it at Costco, I'll have to look the next time that I'm there. I mixed it with ground turkey breast and it was tasty.

Marcia,
It was located next to the Kirkland Organic Chicken Stock at the Costco. That is something that is frustrating about Costco. The merchandise varies greatly from store to store. I bought it in Kennesaw, GA.
