Talking about new cars and dead batteries, that happened to my ex and me right after we had Mel. She was only 3 weeks old and we went to another town to pick it up, about 200 miles away. Drove it off the lot and to our motel, and the car died. Got a boost and drove back to the dealer, they checked it over, said all was fine now, maybe the battery hadn't been charged up enough, and sent us on our way. This was in late Feb. all the roads were frozen over, this was northern, northern Ontario, Canada, and I had a 3 week old baby with us, and a 3 year old daughter also. Well we did get to drive the car all the way home, and thank goodness, as soon as we turned the car off, it would no longer start! My father lived across from us at the time and he came right over to see our brand new car, and it wouldn't even start. Turned out that the battery was cracked and we had drove home with only part of the battery actually working. We had to put in another battery until we could get back to the dealer and they then gave us a new one. Apparently it got cracked when it was being shipped to us, just cause its new doesn't mean you can't get stranded.
My car that I have now is invisible, never works, and I would love even an ugly one sometimes, ha ha ha.
Gentle hugs

Boy do I know what car trouble can be Barb.........you know how they think women know nothing about cars? One time we had a major accident that caused about $7000. worth of damage. I got picked to go check on progress of work being done well Mike and I were on a construction job im a power plant so I still had the steel toed boots on and a hard hat. I walked in and went straight to the repair dept not remembering I was still wearing the hard hat....I had to get a piece of paper and a pen out because the guy fixing our truck was telling me things in guy language. They are afraid of women. Love Oma
