Hello everyone. Haven't been here in awhile but I did want to report in.
I have been very good with my G/D/S free eating. Some slip ups here and there, and I usually pay for it.
Overall, I am doing better right now. I wouldn't say it was a remission, but better than I was. I'm pleased to say I haven't had a "cleanup in aisle three" (accident) in 2 whole weeks. That's huge for me. In fact, I'm thinking that my biggest problem is gluten and soy and am thinking of bringing a small part of dairy back into my life, like some hard cheeses and possibly a wee bit of cream in cooking. I'll let you know how it goes.
If I hadn't found this place, I am sure that I'd still be in the same mess I was in 3 months ago. I do realize I'm not cured. In fact, things aren't perfect now. However, I am better than I was.....at this time. I would like to thank Tex and Gabes and others for helping me get started on a plan that really does make a huge difference.
I have multiple issues going on and was going to many doctors for 2 years. I can honestly say that I'm still in the same place I was when I started the doctor merrygoround and with the exception of my Neurologist 90 miles away, I'm done with doctors. I did get approved for SSDI IN Feb First time around, so that has been a big help. In July I'm scheduled for a cognitive panel for, hopefully, answers to my short term memory issues and then an appt to further update my Neuro doc about my shaky and tingly hands and my back that crunches just above my tailbone almost any time I'm not sitting. The pain is getting worse as I snap, crackle and crunch away.
I think about and sympathize with anyone going through this ugly IBD. It's certainly not for sissies or the faint of heart. It's one horrible, gross, stinky, messy and frustrating disease. I guess misery loves company because you all are here and we're in this leaky boat together.
Thank you for all your past, present and future encouragement.

Hi there!
great to hear from you and good to hear that the major clean up accidents have stopped.
Take it slow adding dairy back in - you dont want to undo the progress you have achieved.
Keep up with the Vit D3 and Magnesium it will help with the other health issues...
hang in there with the gluten, soy, dairy free eating.... over time more improvements will come

It's good to see that you're improving. You will continue to improve as your digestive system continues to heal.
I once had hand tremors (in fact 7 years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease — but I don't have Parkinson's), and tingling, but I no longer have the problem. I attribute my improvement to taking the active form of vitamin B-12 (methycobalamin), and magnesium also helps to stop the tingling.
Thank you for the update and I hope that you continue to improve.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Great news! Glad to hear that you're doing better. We are all in this boat together and isn't it great to have an anchor in this storm of MC!
