Allergic to Frebreze?

Post by T »

Last month my legs started itching like crazy as soon as I got out of bed.
I saw my NP for my yearly checkup she offered A prescription lotion and I told her I wanted to try the coconut oil A little bit longer. The next day I washed the bedding and my legs stopped itching .
My DW has been spraying the sheets with Febreze for years and now I am allergic to it.
Is this A added bonus from MC?

Maybe, but it may just be our immune system as it gains "experience" and the "wisdom of maturity".

I find that I'm allergic to more things now that my MCAD is more active. And the hot weather seems to put mast cell activity into overdrive. I used to look forward to summer. These days I'm glad when it's over. :sigh:

This makes total sense now....throughout the years our bodies have been so focused on certain "other" immune things that it didn't have time to notice something else that perhaps it didn't like. I think this is where my body is right now....and I suspect I can look forward to more ironic intolerances to pop up, especially when the weather warms up, exactly as you say Tex. I have noticed this is how my system has started to behave this year when weather moved out of Winter into an unseasonably warm Spring.

I am part of a few groups about biotoxins (all types, not just mould) chemicals, nanotoxins, items used during food production not declared on the labels etc and listen to quite a few podcasts on this subject- heard one the other day that said to not use fabric softener on bedding for babies - as the residual chemicals can make their way into the lungs of the babies

in line with this topic - this article is a bit long but it is a very interesting theory about allergies

http://qz.com/689806/a-controversial-th ... allergies/

long story short, our body is overloaded with toxins (couple with deficient in key nutrients), not clearing the toxins properly, the body starts having allergic reactions to items to a) make us avoid them reduce inflammation intake and b) overstimulate the bodies detox/clearing system

I am glad that I did not get the prescription and decided to look for the cause
