Parents Night

Post by Marcia K »

My son's summer internship is hosting Parents Night tomorrow. It's in a city about two hours from us so we're going to stay overnight. They are having cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from 5:00 -6:00 and then a program from 6:00-8:00 so apparently there isn't a dinner. The company is top notch so I would imagine the hors d'oeuvres will be over the top but in the MC world I would imagine there won't be anything that I can eat. I don't want to eat before 5:00 and by 8:00 I will be famished. I'm trying to figure out how to sneak a turkey breast cutlet without being seen. 😉 I am looking forward to the evening and learning more about his summer. I'm curious to see how many free cocktails the other parents drink!

Thanks, Erica. It was a lovely evening. I ended up eating before we went because I was hungry. There were so many people there it wasn't noticeable that I didn't eat anything and the spring water in a fancy glass didn't look any different than the other drinks. It was nice to "fit in" but most of all it was great to hear the nice things said about the interns. We're having lunch with him tomorrow before we head home so that's an added bonus. I'm sure I'll be able to find something that I can eat, there's an eating establishment about every two feet!

So glad you didn't starve Marcia😄. I actually ate a plain baked potato and bacon at a Cracker Barrel on the way home from the beach with no ill effects. You would of thought I'd won the lottery!
