Cape May, New Jersey

Post by Marcia K »

I think I shared this last summer, but the Lobster House in Cape May, NJ is awesome! I had steamed lobster, scallops and shrimp with a side of steamed broccoli. I was in LC heaven! The evening before at an Irish pub I had a antibiotic-free burger but nothing else on the menu to chose from. I took my own breakfast and lunch which worked out perfectly and made it through the dinners without any ill effects. I took sweet potatoes along that I microwaved on the evenings that there wasn't much available for me. The beach is such a healing place - it was so hard to leave and return to reality.

Hi Marcia,

Thanks for the recommendation. I've never been to Cape May but always wanted to go. The meal sounds great.

Marcia, so glad you had a great trip!! I could eat seafood everyday, so that sounds wonderful. Can't wait to be able to enjoy it again.

Thanks, ladies. My husband and I have both had a lot of job-related stress lately so this vacation came at a perfect time. I woke up early every morning and yesterday I went to the beach at 6:45 am and just stood and looked at the sun & listened to the waves crashing on the shore...best medicine ever! You would love it there, Brandy. We didn't see any police until Thursday evening and even then there weren't many. It's just a quaint beach town without the hustle & bustle of a boardwalk.
