23andme

Post by Marcia K »

I received my 23andme results yesterday. Yhe response time was only about three weeks. I haven't had time to really review the results yet but it was interesting how accurate my physical description is - blue eyes, wavy hair & freckles. I finally have an answer to what color my eyes are. They appear blue or green depending on what I wear but from now on when I'm answering that question I will opt for blue. 😊 I'm looking forward to reviewing the rest of my story.

It is interesting/captivating

Use discernment, dont get too caught up in the could be's / maybes...

and be aware that some people are not comfortable with this type of information - in my case for me to have scientific proof of the origin of some of my health issues was unsettling to my elderly mother (who to that point had blamed majority of my health issues on my deceased father)

Thanks, Erica! Hopefully my crazy life will slow down enough for me to review the results. Gabes, I have already told my mother that they should not have had children. At 80 she zips around like a teenager. When I said that to her she said, "There's nothing wrong with me" and she laughed. I was kidding of course, but her children didn't fare as well as her. She was recently diagnosed with CA of the bladder and I hate that she has to deal with that at this stage of her life. The gene pool is a very interesting thing!
