Update, no progress, any advice?
First off, thank you to everyone who shared their experiences and advice. I have learned more from this site than I have from doctors so far. Your help is very appreciated.
Update-
I am pregnant! Thrilled but lose my joy often throughout the day due to this condition and my lack of improvement. I have normal first trimester symptoms but coupled with the MC I am unbelievable tired, weak, and worry about nutrition.
-I DO NOT want to take any medication during this pregnancy but NEED to get things under control. Still hoping I fall into the group that feels much better during pregnancy but so far, not the case. Those who had relief during pregnancy, around what time did that kick in?
-I went gluten free for 3 weeks with no improvement. Do most people see a positive change by then?
-I had a terrible experience with my GI and staff. He even diagnosed me incorrectly- telling me on the phone I had collagenous colitis, but when I asked for a copy of the pathology report it says lymphocytic. (I called to confirm and it is lymphocytic) Other than suggesting questran which was ineffective and then ASacol which I never took he had very little advice once I followed up to share I was pregnant..again saying he has not seen this condition in people my age, but rather women in their 50s and 60s.
From there I made an appt. with an allergist...both knowing there was a strong chance nothing would pop up that directly relates to my inflammation, still did the full panel...didn't have a reaction to anything. He suggested a probiotic and fish oil if my OB clears it. Any specific recs on this?
-What should my next step be? I will not go back to that GI! Just wondering if finding a new GI should even be my next step here. The reproductive specialist I was seeing knew very little about this. I did request VIt D and B12 check....Vtamin D 46, and b12 was out of range high-1,046. On Vit. D supplement and take Foltanx.
The only thing that helped pre pregnancy was immodium. One pill a day gave me relief for 24 hours. That falls into class C and not recommended during pregnancy so that's off the list.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Give going gluten free and dairy free 10-12 weeks. You should start seeing improvements. Three weeks is frequently not long enough to make much of a difference. I had to eat A LOT of protein to go into remission.
Probiotics made my MC worse. Stick to a very simple diet with a lot of protein.
When I am in a flare I do better without supplements. Consider eating a little fish instead of fish oil supplements. Follow medical advice when it comes to supplements.
Women have been having children while eating narrow diets for thousands of years. It has only been the last 50 years history that we have the plethora of foods in our grocery stores that we have now.
Hopefully some others will chime in soon.

When you went gluten free - did you follow the other dietary guidelines we suggest ie dairy free, low fibre, well cooked veges, minimal fruit and sugar, lots of well cooked proteins.
if you are reacting to things like Dairy, eggs, fibre etc then this would impact the success of removing gluten.

there are many food and drink triggers
- dairy, eggs, soy
- too much fibre either via raw veges/salads, raw fruit, nuts etc
- processed flours in gluten free products
- diet drinks /sodas and the chemical sugars
- too much caffeine or herbal teas can have trigger ingredients
- if you are sharing a kitchen with people still consuming gluten then you may be getting contamination
- too much sugar, either via fruit intake or other items
have a look at the stage one eating plan in the link I have provided above, the list just above and this may help you identify what is causing you the issues
interesting that one immodium helped for 24hours. I have seen many here have to take 6 or 8 a day to get out of the house.
the high B12 level is an indicator of methylation issues, that your body is not converting the b12 into useable B12. you may want to do some reading about this.

I agree with everything posted by Brandy and Gabes. While a few lucky individuals see significant improvement in 3 weeks or less, 2–3 months is a more typical time because the intestines tend to heal somewhat slowly. Please don't give up on the diet. It's the safest effective treatment by far, especially during pregnancy.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I was pregnant with MC in 2013. Generally, the 1st trimester sets off a flare due to hormones going wacky. 2nd trimester things start to settle down and 3rd trimester should be smooth sailing. I would highly recommend that you don't take anything. I was told that it was safe to go back on Lialda when I was pregnant. So I did. And now it's classified as *not* being safe for pregnancy. I wish I never took it while I was pregnant and waited out the flare-up, but I panicked. Anyways, I would recommend to stay gluten-free, cut out dairy and eat bland. Soup is great!

Congratulations! I was pregnant with MC (of course I didn't know it, had D 3 years prior diagnosed with IBS). GF diet took me 6 months at least to notice. 2nd trimester is good, but 3rd is awesome. You will want to stay pregnant forever...
