So I've been off entocort for 31 days now and had to do a follow up with my GI. I decided to give Lialda a try thinking if it works for my son, maybe it would help me (he has UC and Crohns). I was warned that a small percentage of people can have worsening D on mesalamines. I found out in one quick hurry that I am one of them. After only taking two pills I went from my normal D to pre-colonoscopy WD that is yellow. I ended up staying home sick today and have basically been flat on my back for the past 24 hours straight. I am trying to figure out if by coincidence I got the flu at the exact same time I started Lialda or if I am that sensitive to it. When I was first dx with MC in 2007 I was put on Asocol in which I had bright yellow D. Yesterday I had severe stomach cramping. I rarely have abdominal pain so this was quite a surprise.
The thought of giving it another try makes me cringe. I know I won't chance going through this again. Anyone have a similar experience?
