Erica,

Every time I try to go below 600mg as a test, my heart palps come back! I've been on 650-700 for 9 months now......I just think I'm a huge mag waster. Now that
I'll be jogging in the humid Iowa heat, I may have to increase it due to the sweating.

Hey Vanessa,

I'm getting ready to try the Remag this summer, I think. Question though............I thought I read somewhere that it bothered people that had mercury fillings. I still have some. Any thoughts?

Hey Jari,

I hope your eyes are doing well! From what I understand, it isn't a problem because you are drinking not "holding" it in your mouth. And unless you take a concentrated shot of ReMag and hold in your mouth for 20 minutes (not recommended or possible because of the taste) even then it would be a long shot and very unlikely...

But if we've learned anything thing from our MC it's that we are snowflakes and anything is possible. But that particular reaction is rare. Keep us posted!

Jari, I am the one that had that trouble with teeth and remag. It was about 1 month into the remag that my teeth started hurting where my fillings were in the molars. I stopped it and it took about 3 days for the teeth to stop hurting.
I would try it and give it a whirl. I thought it was working well, except for that and you can always stop it. I have always been a rare bird. :coolpenguin:

Janie!,

I forgot about that last summer! Isn't it interesting since mag is a detoxifier of heavy metals. It went to work on that right away? I wonder what customer service would say to this ( I can't remember). I hope it didn't go to waste as you could use ReMag topically in a spray bottle....

Moms mouth is FULL of metal and has had no issues.

Vanessa, I used it on my legs to finish it up. It was working except for that glitch with my teeth. I use a combination of Drs Best and oil and lotion at night. Doing well with that.

Vanessa,

My eyes are doing as well as can be expected! I can already see better out of my left than before surgery but still have a lot of blurriness and distortion! That may go away with more healing and it may never! Only time will tell! We are watching my right eye very closely right now as the vitreious gel is pulling away but at an angle that isn't creating a hole.........we'll see what happens with that! I DO NOT want to have another surgery! They are very sensitive to sunlight and I drove 5 hours over the weekend to see my great niece graduate and it was a very tough trip. Won't do that again anytime soon. Need some more healing under my belt and some new glasses! But, I'm thankful for what I have and try not to let it stop me.................I'm still better off than many folks! I have to remember that when I get to feeling sorry for myself!

Hi,

Here is a video where some one is trying to explain the magnesium-calcium-iron balance. It's confusing, and who knows if he is right..., and then he brings in the zink, which has to be in balance with copper which has to balance with magnesium.

Some one told me to disregard calcium, because if our magnesium level is okay, the calcium will take care of itself. I'm trying to understand the rest.

I just listened to this and it made me smile because I followed along exactly to what he was saying...in fact he is saying what I have been trying to get across to friends and family all along...although he seemed to toy with the idea that 5 mg per pound of body weight was the baseline...and maybe he isn't too far off base, but I seem to do well at around 600mg a day, and true I do need more on my more hectic days or weeks.

Great share Lilja!

Hi Erica,

Could you please explain it to me, in simple words. I can't wrap my head around the last part of it; i.e. how to secure the copper-zink balance without destroying the magnesium balance.

I hope my lack of understanding lies in the language, and not in my cognitive ability... ha ha

HI Lilja,

Well first one would want to get testing done for their levels of copper and zinc.....That is what I did...I now know that I have semi higher levels of both so I'm not worrying about the magnesium working for me at this point.

If your Copper is too high and you don't have equal amounts of Zinc then the magnesium wont work properly. It is also true if the Zinc is to high and not the Copper.

If both levels are too low then I would suspect the magnesium would work to a degree but not as well as if Zinc and Copper levels were in a good range (and I am sure it is different for each of us).

I hope I haven't confused this conversation now.

This is sort of off subject, but I’m taking 600 mg Magnesium daily, and only 450 mg of calcium, and wondered I’d my joint aches could be attributed that balance?

based on that calcium dosage, you need to be ideally having 750-850mg elemental magnesium per day (450 for calcium and 300+ for your daily RDA)
