New research shows that at least 6,000 IU of vitamin D is needed in order to achieve a blood level of 40 ng/mL.

My circumstances seem to be a bit out of the ordinary but my levels went from 28 to 56 using 2,000 IU. And there was no consistent natural sunshine with that. I have no idea why. Deb
