Hello
Just another question from a newbie - I have what I can only describe as a constant pressure in my rectum. It almost feels as though I need to go to the bathroom, but I don't. There is also a very sore feeling that I have in my stomach area. I have this most days all day long. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this.

Hi,
The medical term for that is tenesmus (if you want to impress your doctor), and it's rather common during certain stages of MC for many patients. It's often accompanied by cramps or other abdominal pain. If I recall correctly, it was a problem I had as I was beginning to improve, but it can probably happen at any time with the disease.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
