Hemerrhoids - C R H O'Reagan System-Anyone done this???

I have been suffering for DAYS with what I believe to be hemerrhoids. OTC and 'typical' solutions are not helping. I'm taking Tylenol for pain and using stool softeners. I have a center nearby that does this sort of "banding" procedure and says it is 99% effective with no pain. I find it hard to believe... so was wondering if anyone else has had experience with this? Apparently a new way to accomplish "banding" -- I wondered if it would have significant downtime, too. Thanks for responses!

I've had the IRC method done and it worked very well..................have had no more issues..............the doctor that did it also does the rubber band one too.................it all beats the alternative of surgery because I did have that once before also......................

Thanks, JLBATTIN! I don't have a center nearby that offers this, but will investigate it further

How do you get enough 'fiber' in your diet with CC? I am taking a stool softener but afraid to have too much fiber -- all the advice I read says if you don't have enough fiber your hemmies will come back? What sort of complications can the IRC method create? How was the healing time? Thanks! I start the process with GP tomorrow to decide next steps. Not in great shape at the moment... much appreciated!

I take no fiber at all............I do eat apples upon occasion now, but that's about all the fiber I get from time to time.........

It depends on where the hemmorhoids are and the severity whether the IRC will work, but it worked for me, and I've had no trouble since..............and since I cleaned up my diet (no gluten, soy, or dairy) have had no more issues!

my suggestions for minimising heamorroids and live with MC

most importantly you dont need fibre, fibre bulks up the stool makes them harder to pass and makes heamorroids worse!

things that work best
- increase water intake
- increase safe oil intake like coconut oil etc fattier serves of animal protein
- use coconut oil on your anus etc to protect the skin, and help the body pass motions easier
- be relaxed when going to the toilet and allow the body time to clear the motions. anxiety about pooping makes it worse
- topical magnesium on the stomach area so the intestines can pass motions easier
- peeled appled eaten slowly (this has antiinflammatory properties and is 'gentle fibre'
