Simplest bread you'll ever make - Damper

Post by Maximus74 »

Damper/Bread

250g gf flour (I use a corn free one)
Good pinch salt
4 tbsp olive oil
¾ cup warm water

1. Place flour and salt in bowl.
2. Add ½ cup of water and use a knife to start bringing the mixture together.
3. Once combined add oil and mix through.
4. Continue adding water until ingredients are combined into a wet dough.
5. Cut dough into 4 and place on a tray lined with baking paper.
6. Bake in a fan forced oven at 180c for approx. 25 minutes until skewer comes out clean.
7. Enjoy warm with dairy free butter/margarine.

Pro tip:
To make the dough easier to handle and give you nice shapes - roll out some cling film, spread a little olive oil on it and then place a portion of dough on it. Then use the cling film to make your desired shape e.g. roll or hot dog/baguette
