This just made me and my brother CRACK up

Post by Wendy »

Well, maybe its not as cool as what Kylee did, and I will have those kinds of things to look forward to, once my grandson is here, but for nowwwww, Pebbles is still my little baby.

My brother and I went out Christmas shopping on Friday, and OF COURSE I bought a stocking full of dog toys, and another full of cat toys. I have three dogs to buy for as well four dogs, sooo I thought this would cover it. I did buy a really good rope pull toy for Nova, as she loves to play that game with Bethy in the park, but except for the good hard ball for Riley, most of the toys would have gone to Pebbles. I usually take out one at a time. BUT when my brother came into the house and set the bags with dog and cat toys (no food for animals whatsoever) on the floor and it kind of tipped over and you could see the dog toy bad partially, but just a little. Well Bruce started to laugh and said, I think she knows they are dog toys, while Pebbles proceeded to try and get them out of the bag, wagging her tail like crazy, and intermittantly sitty pretty. Well I tell you, it was pretty funny since she could not get the big bag out, she kept sitting pretty and looking at me, then Bruce for one of us to help her out. That dog KNEW that the toys were hers mostly.
Last year she found the big stocking that I brought home from costco too, but I have opened it and looked at the toys, and so she seen the stuffed snake and pulled it out, then went back to try and get another one before I found out. She managed to get two out before I closed the bad and put it up, but if that was funny last year, this year beats it hands down.

She can sit pretty I swear, for as long as it takes for someone to see her and declare her smarty or a cutey, and hence get her way. But this time she was so excited that she looked like she was going to burst.

Now that I think about it though, everytime I go out shopping and come home, she is very excited, and wants to check out what I brought home, but knows first she has to go and do a pee pee outside, which she rushes out and does, before rushing back in to see what I've got.

So has she actually been checking out if I had toys ever since she found some last CHristmas???? she is one cool dog, :dogrun:

The other news is that my laptop that helps me be able to be online more, and can read posts from bed and so forth, I think is fried.

This morning something wasn't right, then smoke.

Now if there really is a Santa, he will fix this and all will be well with the world. Otherwise............and this PC is on its last legs.

But we know about Santa??? So unless my bro has something in his bag of tricks, I will once again be without a puter, more importantly a laptop. Just can't sit at the PC for too long without problems.

Will let you know the statis when I do. But it don't look good, it was a used laptop to begin with, so perhaps it has lived its life to the fullest already. But you would think the damm thing would appreciate the fact that I, and only I helped it live its life to the fullest, ungrateful, heartless piece of freaken metal and cords and tubies and wires and stuff.

Anyway, I have to go back to bed and sleep some as have been up since 4am, and didn't fall asleep till around 3am, so I'm lacking in the sleep factor right now. So later Dudes and Dudettes.
(that is how me bro and I sign out, lol)

Gentle hugs

Wendy

Our pets are clever aren't they? I had a similar experience on Friday with a catnip toy for my 17 year old cat. She can't see, hear and is senile, but she found that catnip toy in 2 closed bags and went nuts. She didn't "sit pretty" but she did yowl until I got it out.

Hi Wendy...cute story!

Hey, just a thought...I think my computer has a fan to cool it off....and... I vaguely remember reading that you have to be careful while using laptops in bed because they might over heat if they can't cool down and the vents are covered. But, I know very little about how these things work, ha ha...hope your puter isn't totally dead.

Nite nite...JJ

Jill - you could be right...Wendy make sure you're not covering any vents when you're using the laptop in bed.

Wendy - animals never cease to amaze me with their intelligence...and, of course, unconditional love.

Hugs
Peg
