V-8 juice

Post by vradloff »

I have read the ingredients and can’t find anything I shouldn’t have, but thought I would run it past the group, to make sure. Is it ok to drink low sodium V-8 juice?

When I was recovering I found that I could tolerate a very small amount, but anything more than a very small amount of any product that contained a significant amount of citric acid would cause problems.

Tex, thank you for your reply. When you say “small amount”, do you mean not more than a cup.......less than a cup?

A cup (8 oz) was usually too much. More was always too much. Less would occasionally work, but usually it had to be significantly less (like half a cup or less) to keep from ending up with a sour stomach. I finally just gave up and stopped drinking anything that contained citric acid.

You're very welcome. But remember that we're all different, so your experience could be different from mine.

Tex, since I am just in the beginning days of my journey, I think I’ll just wait on that for a little while.

That's probably a wise decision. It's much easier to test things after you are in remission.
