Elimination diet results
This may be answered elsewhere but if it is I can't find it. How soon after starting the elimination diet can one reasonably expect to start seeing a change in their bowel movements? Immediately? Within a week? Thanks.
No matter where you go, there you are.
Hi Adele,
It depends on how much intestinal damage needs to be healed. The digestive system heals slowly. While a few individuals may see improvements within a few days to a few weeks, for most of us it's more like 2 or 3 months. And the more persistent cases often require from 6 months to a year. We're all different and the response times are pretty much unpredictable. This is assuming that you're not taking a corticosteroid to mask the symptoms.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
