What probiotic do I need for Azithromycin?

Post by carolm »

Hi All,
In spite of weeks of irrigating my sinuses and gargling, pushing fluids, extra vitamin C and D3, adding a humidifier, etc, I have a sinus infection that is causing tonsillitis. Saw the doctor today and we did look at the list you posted Tex of safer antibiotics. She opted to give me a ZPak, with a refill in case one round was too short. Needless to say I’m nervous about taking an antibiotic. I haven’t had any for 6 years.

My question is: what probiotic should I take? I can handle dairy in small amounts so I could try yogurt or would I be better off taking a probiotic in pill form.

Any advice is welcomed- thank you in advance.

Kind regards -
Carol
