Clearly, that applies to us also. Our stress may not be due to oxygen deprivation, but that's probably irrelevant. We are/were certainly under significant stress, major inflammation, and dramatic nutrient shifts, not only due to malabsorption, but also due to diet shifts (similar to an astronaut's diet shifts.
