Hi All,
Although I’m in remission I still feel like my energy levels are up and down, and that I’m just ‘spinning my wheels’ and not progressing much. So I decided to see a Functional Med Doc. In my case I was especially lucky in that my appt ended up being with the Nurse Practitioner who is well liked and well regarded.
In the course of discussion he saw that I had taken the Enterolab panels. His face lit up and said “I really like Enterolab and I use them... but where did you hear about Enterolab?” so I told him about our research- based support site here and the excellent guidance I have received (and continue to receive). It was nice to talk to someone who supported and validated the changes I made. And I enjoyed the opportunity to brag up our internet family here.
So I just had to share that with you all, as so many have been instrumental in my recovery.
Carol
PS- I’m having numerous tests run- for metals, candida, vitamin and mineral levels, thyroid panel and others- the list is long. I’ll share those results if they are noteworthy.

It was just like that Gabes. I found myself talking freely my symptoms and the path to my remission, mainly diet changes, and getting guidance from others who also have MC. It was much easier to talk to him than my new GI docs.
He asked me questions to uncover any environmental toxins I was exposed to as a child (like lead paint in houses and the chemicals in my Dad’s car shop where Dad did lots of body work. Dad was very skilled at painting cars, plus the shop was on the same property as our home). So he looked for any other insults to the immune system including psychological trauma. We are examining the bigger picture within an AI framework and at this point it’s a refreshing approach that I need and I believe I will benefit from.

How awesome Carol!
I look forward to hearing how your results turn out and what if anything needs attention and how you both perceive future action and what it may entail
I've yet to find another Functional Dr in my rural area that I don't have to drive far to get to. Hoping one comes along at some point so I can re-check my candida, VitD and potentially Mag RBC serum levels.
My heart smiles for you today!
