GOOD MORNING POLLY
the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control
Better late than never, Sis! LOL!
Sorry I missed your phone call yesterday........ yup, we were still out celebrating.
The visit to SILs in Roanoke was fabulous! They have a huge house (5 bedrooms, 4 baths) so there was plenty of room (I didn't have to be with MIL all of the time). My SIL decorates for Christmas more than anyone I've ever known. She has decorations on every square inch of space. Plus a lighted tree with ornaments in every room - even each bathroom!
SIL did everything possible to make us feel comfortable. Fresh flowers in the bedrooms, a brand new terry cloth robe/slippers set for me to use going to and from the bathroom, special food considerations for me, etc. For example, she made me some eggs separately from everyone else's using olive oil, baked me a sweet potato when the others had mashed potatoes, and had lots of fresh fruit and nuts for my snacks. They have an outside hot tub, and one night we ran out in our bathing suits and got in. It was wonderful because it was freezing cold but the tub was so steamy hot, with whirlpool, too. There was snow all around us, and the reflection on it from the outdoor Christmas lights was beautiful. We relaxed in the hot tub with our wine/beer and laughed ourselves silly.
Then we had a family party here at my house on Christmas Eve, which was lots of fun.
I hope you (and everyone) had an enjoyable holiday. Will catch up with you soon.
Love and namaste,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
