Hi.

Is atarax safe for someone with collagenous colitis.

Hi,

Hydroxyzine should be generally safe for most collagenous colitis patients, because basically it's classified as an antihistamine. We are all different though, so it's not impossible that you might react adversely to it. For most patients, it should be more likely to provide benefits than problems.

That's just my opinion though, because as far as I know, the association has never been studied as a research project.
